Look out for These New Design Trends in 2024

And just like that, 2024 is here!

It is time to look ahead at the new design trends of 2024, and no need to worry because we have got you covered.

Out with the Greys, in with the Browns!

Are you greyed out? We are seeing a huge shift from the greys that were all the rage for years to the warm earthy brown tones of 2024. Taupes will be replacing pewters and soft greys and espresso tones will replace charcoals. Think warm undertones.

Bold Colours

Go bold with greens, yellows, blues, and reds. Adding vibrant and audacious colour choices to any room will be sure to elevate the style and feeling. You can easily create edgy colour combinations!! Simply add a pop of colour with your toss cushions, artwork or even your counter stools.

Vibrant Wall Treatments

Adding vibrant wall treatments is the best way to enhance your space. You can go dark and moody or bright and vivid. Wallpaper and wall murals are a very popular way to elevate your walls in any room. As well, wood panelling is a great addition to a rustic farmhouse style home. Wall treatments will add sophistication, luxury, and elegance. And remember, wall treatments aren't just for your walls, but ceilings too.

Customized Secondary Spaces

We are seeing a shift to customizing the secondary spaces on your home. Spaces like back kitchens, wet bars, and butlers pantries can be unique to you and your style with a few simple touches. Customize your secondary space by adding your favourite colours, patterns, dish ware, or unique hardware.

Vintage Vibes

People are becoming more and more aware of sustainability and the waste they create. Finding unique furniture pieces at antique shops is a very creative way of adding vintage vibes to your home. Re-upholstering your existing furniture is a sustainable way of adding use and aesthetic to old furniture pieces. The mid century modern style became very popular in 2023 and we can see it only growing in popularity in 2024. The mid century modern furniture pieces, artwork, and colours will be sure to bring a vintage vibe to your home!

Layered Interiors

2024 will be all about layering your interior style. Think about adding fluffy blankets or textured throws to your sofas or bedding with several coordinating toss cushions. Or doubling up on your area rugs and mats. It's all about comfort first!!
